ePublishing Adis Knowledge Base Pharmaceutical Research Electronic Delivery Systems. Custom-built C++ App Server.

Technical solution:

Kanda designed and developed several incarnations of Adis's ePublishing Platforms. Two extensive databases: drug info and publication citations. CD, Lotus Notes, Intranet, Internet, and Extranet subscription options were made available. Features included: extensive "data slicing" and subscription schemas for the most effective revenue generation models; sophisticated yet intuitive Boolean searching in dozens of searchable fields; built-in data visualization and charting. At the time, there was no industry standard for Application Servers using extensive combined text and data searches, so Kanda developed an App Server (KASTAS) in C++ complete with template-based development environment, session tracking and subscription control.

Air Charter Guide

Business scope:

Online Aircraft Availability. A distributed system to collect and reconcile plane availability information from multiple charter companies and offer it to prospects over the Web.

Technical solution:

Kanda created customized plug-ins for the most popular Aircraft Schedule software packages that automatically upload real-time aircraft availability from each subscribing air charter operator. The XML data feeds from multiple operators are reconciled into one database that allows the prospects not only to quickly find the right operators with appropriate aircraft, but also to be immediately apprised as to which specific planes are available on a desired date.
