Our discovery solutions ensure compliance with legal standards for document tracking and production.

• Kanda reengineered the litigation support application of American International Group (AIG), the worlds leading international insurance and financial services organization. The application is based on FASTs indexing and search.

In accordance with AIGs compliance needs, Kanda made the selection and production of discovery and other documents much faster and more efficient, while establishing a broader range of functionality and control and extending the use of the application to wider ranges of documents (such as email) and to other processes beyond responding to subpoenas and court orders in litigation.

• Ford Motor Company selected Kanda to upgrade its own Litigation Support System, which is used by Fords Office of General Counsel (OGC). The system enables users to access databases of legal information and documents via an intranet and to perform sophisticated batch searches, redactions, and other discovery procedures.

Developed in the 1990s, the LSS is an amalgam of BRS, Oracle, TotalRecall (a communications layer between BRS and Oracle), FileNet server components, and a VB client. The product was running on older, outdated versions of its components. Kanda brought the system up to date and improved its functional aspects.
